~Glorifying Christ~

So glad that
you're here!
~Welcome~
~Failing to glorify Christ~
What happens if we choose not to glorify Christ?
Failing to glorify Christ is not just a spiritual failure, it is a rejection of the very purpose of the gospel, leading to spiritual emptiness, moral decline, and ultimately, separation from God.
The Biblical view is this-
Scripture teaches that glorifying God is central to the Christian life. Romans 1:20–25 shows that when people know God but do not glorify Him, they turn to other gods, become futile in their thoughts, and live in a way that is contrary to His will. This is the root sin of pride, which is at the heart of the fallen human condition.
Glorifying Christ means acknowledging His divine nature, fearing Him, hoping in Him, rejoicing in Him, loving Him, and serving Him alone so that all we do brings Him honor. It is not enough to know Christ, we must live in a way that reflects His glory,
Spiritual Consequences:
When Christians neglect to glorify Christ, they risk:
-
Spiritual emptiness: A life without Christ’s presence becomes meaningless, as Ecclesiastes 1:2 warns “Vanity of vanities, all is vanity”
-
Moral decline: Without Christ’s guidance, people may fall into sin, envy, strife, and other vices (Romans 1:28–32)
-
Loss of God’s love, wisdom, and guidance: Jesus said, “Apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5), meaning that without Christ’s presence, we cannot live rightly.
-
A hardened heart: Isaiah 59:1–2 describes how sin hides God’s face, making it impossible for us to hear His voice.
The Danger of Rejection:
If a Christian deliberately chooses not to glorify Christ, they are rejecting the very foundation of their faith. This can lead to a life of self-reliance, despair, and aimlessness, and in the end, to eternal separation from God. Revelation 20:15 warns that those whose names are not written in the book of life will be cast into the lake of fire.
The Call to Repentance:
The Bible urges believers to examine their lives: “Examine whether you have not been guilty of this sin, humble yourselves for it, and then reform it” Glorifying God is the glory of heaven, and God will glorify those who glorify Him (1 Samuel 2:30)
In short: Choosing not to glorify Christ is a rejection of His lordship, which leads to spiritual death, moral decay, and eternal separation from God. The Bible calls us to live in a way that brings honor to Christ, so that we may be transformed into His likeness and share in His glory.
